Ivan Mactaggart is best known for his career as a film producer, however, that is not all he has done. Before becoming a film producer, Mactaggart worked as a film manager with BBC Films. It wasn’t until 2005 that he began working as a producer. Even then, he still worked on other films outside of his role as a producer. In 2009, he worked as a production financer on the films “Moon” and “Fish Tank.” Some of the other films he worked on include “Close Your Eyes” and “Made in Dagenham.” Out of these, “Moon” and “Fish Tank” are the most popular films he worked on when he wasn’t working as a producer.
His career as a producer
Ivan Mactaggart began his career as a film producer in 2005 when he began work on the film ‘The Truth About Love.’ This film helped to kick off his film career. In 2006, he worked as an executive producer on ‘Irresistible.’ ‘Irresistible’ would later go on to be known as one of his first popular films. Some of his other popular early films were ‘Daylight Robbery’ and ‘Wilderness.’
One of Mactaggart’s most popular films of the 2010’s so far is ‘My Week with Marilyn.’ While ‘My Week with Marilyn’ did not win Mactaggart any awards, it received rave reviews from fans. In 2013, Mactaggart worked on his first made-for-television movie, ‘The Wipers Times.’ ‘The Wipers Times’ is a war movie about British Soldiers fighting in Ypres in World War I. This is the only made-for-television movie Mactaggart has worked on so far. The film that Mactaggart is receiving the most praise for is ‘Loving Vincent.’ This film was released in 2017 and it’s already been nominated for several prestigious awards.

So far, the only film of Mactaggart’s to earn an award nomination is ‘Loving Vincent.’ This film was nominated for an Online Film & Television Association Award for Best Animated Picture and a BAFTA Award for Best Animated Feature film. The film is also currently nominated for an Oscar 2018 award for Best Animated Feature. However, it is still unclear as to whether he will win the award or not, as the results of the Oscar 2018 nominations are not to be released until the ceremony on March 4, 2018.
