Waqar Zaka was born on 17th July 1986 in Sargodha, Pakistan, but grew up in a Sunni family because his father worked for the United Nations. His father is from the Indian city of Jaipur. Waqar’s father, Zaka-ud-Din, is a Punjabi who works for the United Nations and is currently residing in Karachi. In 1980, he relocated to Karachi, Pakistan, where he became well-known in the telecom industry for establishing Pakistan’s first intercom assembly unit, National Intercom Industry, and trading it to a number of different countries. His mother, Samia Yaseen, is a housewife from a Kashmiri family. He is the eldest of three sisters.
