Selena released her self-titled first album on October 17, 1989. The album, which was produced by EMI Latin Records, was recorded in Texas’ AMEN Studios. The album and the single ‘Sukiyaki’ debuted on the ‘US Billboard Regional Mexican Albums’ list.
