Nita Strauss was born on December 7th, 1986. She is an American guitarist best known for her work with ‘The Iron Maidens’, all-female tribute band. Nita has worked with numerous high profile ensembles during the course of her career such as the band ‘Femme Fatale’ and the ‘LA Kiss’ musical backing group. ‘Femme Fatale’ is an American hard rock band who has released famous albums like ‘Femme Fatale’, ‘One More for the Road’, ‘1, 2, 3, 4’ and ‘ARCANA’. In June 2014, she took the place of singer Orianthi in the band of American hard rock, musician Alice Cooper. Strauss at placed at the number one position on the list of ’10 Female Guitar Players You Should Know’ published by the Guitar World. In early 2016, Nita Strauss appeared as the main guitarist on seven songs in Docker’s guide album, “The Heisenberg Dairies”. Her guitar skills were so magnificent that they empowered to do shows in US, Europe, South America, Africa, and across the world. Recently, she also appeared on the computer game “Heroes of the storm”. Nita Strauss, born on 1986, started her guitar career at the age of 13. For Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss, getting the chance to be a part of the ‘She Rocks’ album was a big chance and excitement. “It’s really a dream come true for me to get to do something like this. I started playing guitar because of seeing Steve Vai,” she said in an interview, “So first of all, even to get asked to be on this album was a dream come true, and then to get to do it in this way, to showcase this awesome up and coming crop of female guitar players that are out there, it’s mind-blowing to me. All of my life, I’ve wanted to do an instrumental track or an instrumental album or do something, because that’s what I grew up listening to — Vai, [Joe] Satriani, Paul Gilbert, all of the greats. So to get to contribute something, even if it just ends up being this one song, which I don’t think it will, but to get to contribute to that world is really, really awesome.” Her contribution, “Pandemonium,” was written in about an hour, she says. “It definitely takes me on a journey emotionally. It tells a story, and I’m really curious to see what people make of what the story is. Because I think it definitely does take you on a journey.” The guitarist did face an initial struggle growing up and aspiring to be a female lead guitarist who pens her own lyrics. But as perseverance and hard work paid off, today she is one of the best lead female guitarists we have in the world.
