Stina Nilsson, a Swedish Cross-country ski star, was born in 1993, in Sweden. She began skiing as soon as she could walk. She finished 23rd in her World Cup debut in Drammen on March 7, 2012 when she won the gold medal in the sprint event at the 2012 Junior World Championship in Erzurum, Turkey. The year after, she defended the gold medal in Liberec. During the 2016–2017 season she ended up overall in third in the Tour de Ski. In the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, Nilsson won a gold medal in individual sprint. She also won a silver medal at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang in 4’5 km relay. In the same Winter Olympics, she also won a bronze medal in the 30 km classical event. Stina Nilsson won a bronze medal in team sprint at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. She won three silver medals in the 2015 World Championships in Falun in individual sprint, team sprint and 4*5 km relay. She also won a silver medal in the 2017 World Championships in Lahti in 4*5 km relay. Stina Nilsson won a gold medal in individual sprint in 2012 Junior World Championships in Erzurum.
