Simon Schempp was born in 1988. He is a German biathlete who made his World Cup debut in 2009. He became a world champion by winning a gold medal in the 15 km mass start race at the Biathlon World Championships 2017 in Hochfilzen. Schempp also won three more gold medals out of which two were for being part of the German Biathlon World Championships 2010 mixed relay team in Khanty-Mansiysk and for the German Biathlon World Championships 2017 mixed relay team in Hochfilzen, and the other gold medal was as part of the German Biathlon World Championships 2015 men’s relay team in Kontiolahti. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in the 4 x 7.5 km event. He also won a bronze medal in the similar event at the 2012 Ruhpolding World Championship and at the 2013 Nove Mesto World Championship. He plays for the German team Skis Rossignol. He also competed for Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympics and managed to finish in fifth place as part of the German team in the men’s relay.
