Rainn Wilson with a double n in his first name played the character of Dwight Kurt Schrute in the world-famous series on NBC called The Office. Many people reached great heights in their career with roles in this series. Rainn was one of them. Rainn has done an extensive training in his field. He was born on 20 January 1966 in Seattle, Washington, the USA. He is now, 52 and aced in California for work. His parents are actress Shay Cooper and Robert G. Wilson. His father was multi-faceted and was a novelist, artist, and a businessman.
He graduated from New Trier H.S. in Winnetka, Illinois. He then was at Tufts University and the University of Washington. He studied a graduate course in acting at the NYC. Talking about the early hands at acting, he recalled:
“I went nervously, shyly to my high school drama teacher and went, ‘Oh, do you think one day, do you think I could one day maybe be an actor?’And she was very supportive. That gave me a lot of hope. I always wondered if she had said, ‘Well, I don’t know … it’s a tough road.’”

His first on-screen appearance was in 1997 when he was seen in the soap opera called One Life to Live. He was also cast in The Expendables in 2000. Rainn bagged his lead role in the horror film called House of 1000 corpses which was released in the year 2003. In 2005, he was cast in the comedy called Sahara. He also bagged the role of a neurotic office worker in The Office the same year. This he continued till the end of the series in 2013. Rainn is married and his wife is Writer Holiday Reinhorn. They met at the University of Washington and married in 1995. Their son Walter was born in 2004. They are animal lovers and follow the Baha’i faith.
