Melissa Amber Schuman was born on August 21, 1984 in San Clemente, California. She is an actress and a singer. Schuman has always dreamed of becoming a pop star and In 1998, her dream came true when she was chosen to become a part of an all-girl pop group called ‘Dream.’
Career as a pop singer
Schuman, along with band members, Diana Ortiz, Ashley Poole and Holly Blake Arnstein were part of the band ‘Dream’ which was quite active from 1998 until 2003 and then again from 2015 until 2016. The band was most successful in 2000 when they released their hit single ‘He Loves U Not.’ Other hits by the all girl band included ‘This Is Me’ and ‘What We Gonna Do About Us.’ Schuman left the group in 2002 to pursue a career in the acting industry.
Her career as an actress
Melissa Schuman appeared in a few movies after leaving the girl group ‘Dream.’ She had a minor role in the comedy film ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ in 2003 and in 2004 she acted alongside Kevin Zegers, Kaley Cuoco and Nick Carter in the horror film, ‘The Hollow.’ In 2005, Schuman played the lead role in another horror film called ‘Silent Scream.’ This film went on to premier at the Chicago Horror Film Festival. A decade after her last film, Schuman returned to acting when she took part in a comedy series called ‘Actress(es): A Web Series.’ Schuman played the role of an aspiring actress named Jennifer Stone.

Perhaps you’ve heard the name Melissa Schuman in the news recently. The singer and actress filed a police report against Nick Carter, who was her costar in ‘The Hollow.’ Schuman accused Carter of sexual misconduct claiming that Carter allegedly raped Schuman in 2002 when she was 18 years old. He responded by denying Schuman’s accusations of sexual misconduct.

Melissa Schuman is married to Brandon Henschel, a dancer. Schuman and Henschel have one child together, a boy named Elin Elijah Henschel. Aside from being a singer and an actress, Schuman is also a blogger.
