Trenni Kusnierek

Trenni Kusnierek is currently working as a sports anchor and reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England in Boston. Trenni is cheerful and full of energy. She uses her mass media platform to cause a change in society. She was courageous enough to open up about her fight with anxiety and depression.

Trenni Kusnierek’s birth, age, childhood, and education

Trenni was born on 30 April 1977 in Pittsburg, the USA. Trenni had always wanted to be a journalist since she was small. Talking about those days in an interview, Trenni had revealed:

“I always wanted to be a journalist! I can remember being a young girl and “interviewing” my family with our camcorder and pretending to anchor newscasts.”

Her family was always supportive of her ambition though her classmates and teachers had expressed their skepticism about it.

She graduated from Muskego High School and Marquette University.

She remembers being told at Marquette that journalism was difficult. But she still headed on and got success. Trenni also had liked sports and was always curious. Hence she feels that this field is ideal for her. She said:

“Now I’m able to combine my love of athletics with my curiosity about the world because I’ve realized sports are a reflection of society. I’m no longer afraid to question leagues on difficult topics or call certain practices into question.”

Trenni Kusnierek’s career

Trenni also wanted to be a journalist when she grows up. She started her career with WDJT-TV in 2001. After a year, she joined FSN Pittsburg where she stayed till 2007. She also worked for ABC Sports in 2005. She was a reporter with FSN Wisconsin in 2008. She worked in the studio and field for MLB Network.

She has also the experience of having worked for Big Ten Network and NFL Network. She also did a year with Green Bay Packers pre-season.

She worked for WTMJ (AM) from 2011 to 2013 and was based in Milwaukee. Her job with NBC Sports came during the 2014 Olympics where she served as the curling reporter.

When asked as to what motivated her to go on with her job, Trenni had said:

“Change. If I’m doing my job as a journalist and bringing real issues to light then there’s a chance we see positive, systematic change in the areas which need it most.”

She describes herself as ‘Passionate, Opinionated, A good heart.’ Her wish is to make the world a better place to live in. She has been fighting for equality for girls in sports.

Trenni had provided her fans the side of hers which not many know. She disclosed that she suffers from anxiety and depression which has worsened with time. She has run in 11 Marathons; 3 of which were in Boston. She also has climbed Mount Rainer.

Trenni is a social media user and has Twitter and Facebook accounts. Going through it, it appears that she is unmarried and has no husband’ past or present. She is probably not dating anyone and has no boyfriend. She is enjoying her work and life and we wish her the very best for the future!
