Before he was ‘Luke Cage,’ Mike Colter starred in the TV Show ‘The Good Wife’ and made cameos in other TV Shows like ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ One of his major film roles would be that of the boxer ‘Big Willie Little’ in ‘Million Dollar Baby.’ The role would require a slight workout, in fact, he was only required to gain about 15 pounds for his role in ‘Million Dollar Baby’ while training with real life Boxing Trainer Martin Snow at the Trinity Boxing Gym. Mike Colter is also really close friends with action Assaf Cohen. Mike Colter’s brother is also a Secret Service Agent for the United States of America. Despite playing large characters with emphasis on their physique such as ‘Luke Cage’ and ‘Big Willie Little’ and ‘Spartan Jameson Locke,’ Mike Colter is not a fan of the gym. He even had this to say in regards to working out and his diet:

I hate the gym, so I try to diversify my workouts with swimming and basketball. Indoors, it’s less boring than running. I do find that diet is key. I eat lots of lean protein, no soda, no fast food or fried foods, and a lot of water. But I love food and often cook.
