Who is Adriana Lima?
Originally from Brazil, Adriana Lima was born on June 12, 1981, to a carpenter, Nelson Torres, and social worker, Maria das Graças Lima. Lima’s childhood was deprived of having a father as he lived early on, which led to Lima being raised by her mother.
Lima is a model and actress who is renowned for her appearances as a Victoria’s Secret Angel from 1999 (aged 17) up till 2018 (aged 37). Up till July 2020, she is the longest-serving model for the company and is known as “the most valuable Victoria’s Secret Angel”. Moreover, Lima is also widely recognized as the spokesmodel for Maybelline cosmetics – a place she has reserved for herself since 2003. Victoria’s Secret cast Lima for the promotion of its first sports bra, the ‘Victoria Sport’ back in 2016. She starred alongside fellow models Romee Strijd, Jasmine Tookes.
