Lee Ji-Eun’s growing years and life before she shot to fame
Lee Ji-Eun’s birth dates back to 16 May 1993 which took place in Gwangjin, Seoul, South Korea. She had an inclination towards the entertainment industry and had begun to learn acting early. When she completed her elementary school, her family faced some financial crunch which forced them to move to Uijeongbu.
Their conditions had worsened to the extent that Lee Ji-Eun and her younger brother had to leave their parents’ house and go and stay in a small studio with their grandmother and cousins and this went on for nearly a year.
Lee Ji-Eun also had a nag for singing from a young age. She once sang at the school’s sports competition and received high praise for it. Motivated by these positive remarks, Lee Ji-Eun then made up her mind to pursue singing and take it up as a profession. Poor Lee Ji-eun gave at least 20 auditions but failed all of them. She was also cheated by a number of fake entertainment companies.
Lee Ji-Eun took training with Good Entertainment and in 2007 joined LOEN Entertainment. She also moved to Bangbae, Seoul and kick-started her career there.
Lee Ji-eun’s solo career in singing
Lee Ji-Eun debuted solo in 2008. Her first single in Korean was ‘Lost Child’. She also performed this song on M! Countdown. People did not praise her performance and insulted her; though she was saddened by it she took it in a positive way to improve herself. Her EP Lost and Found was also released the same year but failed to set the box office on fire.
“My first album failed, but I’m grateful for that. If I had become successful as soon as I made my debut, I wouldn’t appreciate my staff members and the popularity that I’m enjoying now.”
In 2009 came her debut studio album Growing Up. This was more youthful and different from her ‘Lost Child’ and became a success. She released her second EP in end 2009. She gave soundtracks for several TV dramas and worked with co-singers on their albums. She was also noticed on several variety shows and also took up the role of a TV presenter.
Her duet came in mid-2010. Many of her singles topped the local music charts and her popularity slowly but steadily made it to the top. She also performed the opening acts at several music concerts of other famed singers.
She also participated in Kim Yuna’s Kiss & Cry. Last Fantasy-her second album was released in 2011. She also started doing tours in Japan. She and her songs had moderate success there. In 2012, she also did her solo concert tour. More of young males attended.
Lee debuts into professional acting and continues music
She got the leading role in You’re the Best, Lee Soon-shin on KBS2. Her emotional scenes were fantastic for which she received nominations. She entered Billboard Japan Top 100 with the singles of her album ‘Can You Hear Me?
Her third album Modern Times was released in 2013 and considered as a more mature album. She was cast in the TV series Bel Ami the same year. More singles and EPs followed and most of them were well-received. She also does endorsements and continues to perform in plays and concerts.

In 2012, one of her picture with Eunhyuk sparked rumors of dating between them. Talking about her He-man, Lee had once said:
“I prefer someone who is not overly good-looking. If he’s too good-looking, I would feel that he doesn’t belong to me,”
Lee was dating singer Jang Ki Ha from 2013 to 2017. She then went on to date Jang Ki Ha Chang.
They broke up after some time. The rumors were that she was pretty close to Lee Junki, her co-star in the Korean drama “Scarlet Heart Ryeo”, which adversely affected her relationship with Jang.
