Binks was born on April 30, 1987, in Toronto, Ontario. She attended Havergal College and later she joined Queen’s University and graduated with Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and Bachelor of Arts (Drama). Moreover, she mastered in City, University of London and graduated in international broadcast journalism. Also, she has done an undergraduate thesis on the experiences of female sports reporters.
Soon after her graduation, she started her career in Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a program assistant. Later, she joined Fox Soccer Channel, CTV Television Network, and in 2013, she joined Fox Sports. In December 2016, she switched to ESPN as a sideline reporter.
