Joe Dixon was born in 1965. He is an English television and film actor best known for his role as Jacques in The Mummy Returns. The Mummy Returns is a 2001 American action-adventure fantasy film written and directed by Stephen Sommers. The film is a sequel to the 1999 film The Mummy. Dixon was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire in 1965 to Guyanese parents. Dixon won the prestigious Ian Charleson Award for his performance in As You Like It. Dixon was nominated for an Oliver Award for Best Performance in a supporting role for his performance in the 2003 film, The Roman Actor at the Gielgud Theater. Dixon began acting at Castle Vale Comprehensive, where he was encouraged by his drama teacher to join the Birmingham Youth Theater with his contemporary, Barry Aird.
