In essence, goop is a lifestyle brand launched by Gwyneth in 2008. As we told you before it was first a weekly newsletter with an editorial note from Gwyneth were she offered some insights into her life. Goop Inc. was born in 2011. When asked about the name of the company, Gwyneth said that it was like a nickname, derived from her own nickname G:P. “I wanted it to be a word that means nothing and could mean anything.” Sounds kind of funny
Gwyneth originally created goop to try to organize her travel recommendations, and her recipes, which are health-centric, and also she wanted to share her shopping discoveries with friends. When asked why she created Goop, she said that it was to answer her own questions about health, wellness, fashion, food, and travel.
When she couldn’t find sources who pointed her in the right direction, she decided to take matters into her own hands and Goop was born. Goop is a place where you can be introduced to incredible experts, who have been Gwyneth’s mentors throughout her life. Also is a place where you can find suggestions about where to shop, eat and stay from trusted sources.
