Grace Chatto and her band and its music
Grace Chatto serves as the cellist, percussionist and a vocalist for her band Clean Bandit. The other members are Luke and Jack Patterson. The trio formed the band in 2008 and it is based in Cambridge. They are basically an electronic music band and their songs are of the genres electropop and dance-pop. Their 2010 single called Mozart’s House was on no. 17 of the UK Singles Chart.
It was re-released in 2013. When this single was released, Grace Chatto was working as a teacher at a school where she used to teach cello. In the music video of the song, she is sparingly dressed and this caused her to be fired from the job after a parent made an official complaint.
The band’s 2014’s Rather Be was the UK charting. It was also number 10 on the US Billboard Top 100. In 2015, the band won a Grammy award for the Best Dance Recording. They also got several nominations for the same song.

Grace Chatto had talked about how she is treated differently from the boys in her band. She said:
“I’m of the opinion that gender is a social construct. I never identified as a woman too much, because women aren’t too different from men. But with all the #MeToo and Time’s Up stuff, I thought about it differently. I’m certainly treated differently to the boys in the band. People make assumptions about what I do and don’t do within our projects. We produce our music together and I direct and edit the music videos.”
Grace Chatto and her personal life-boyfriend, husband, children
Grace Chatto is not married and has no husband and children. She has a boyfriend who is her bandmate, Jack Patterson. But it is said that they split in 2016 after 8 years together.
Grace Chatto was unable to have a one-bedroom flat in London. She had said in December 2017,
“We haven’t earned that much cash yet. I hope to buy a flat soon, but the music industry isn’t what it was.
“Having three No 1s doesn’t get you that far with the way things are, especially in London.”
