Tina Fey and her humane thinking
Tina Fey is a top-rated comedian of America. She does stand-up comedy as well as sketch comedies. She is superb not only in acting but also is quite vocal about her opinions. She spoke against the white supremacy and Donald Trump. She said:
“Nazis are always bad, I don’t care what you say.”
She further added:
“the next time you see a bunch of white boys in polo shirts screaming about taking our country back and you want to scream it’s not our country, we stole it from the Native Americans”
Tina Fey’s birth and childhood
Tina Fey was born as Elizabeth Stamatina Fey on 18 May 1970 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the USA to Xenobia ‘Jeanne’, a brokerage employee, and Donald Henry Fey, who used to write grant proposals for universities. Her mother is of Greek origin while her father belongs to German, Northern Irish, and English ancestry. She has an elder brother named Peter Fey who is 8 years older to her.
After her high school (Upper Darby High School) and college, she joined the University of Virginia to study drama. She graduated in 1992 and shifted to Chicago to hone her skills in comedy.
Tina Fey’s career
Tina Fey used to work at YMCA to support herself. She was also learning the first set of courses at the Second City. Seeing her talent, one of her teachers advised her to skip and move ahead with learning more specific courses. She was successful during the second audition and managed the one-year program. But she somehow continued at Second City for many years and met many of the future SNL cast members there. After submitting some sketch comedies, she was chosen and became the first female writer on SNL show. She was also shorter and younger of the group there.
She also got an opportunity to co-host Weekend Update with Jimmy Fallon. She also debuted on Aspen Comedy Festival. Her trademarks were her black plastic-rimmed glasses and she has played characters which have an embarrassing addiction to junk food. She was also cast in roles which have been unsuccessful in love or in becoming a mother.
In 2001, she was selected by the Entertainment Weekly as the 8th entertainer of the Year. She has also been voted by People’s magazine as the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. She has also admitted that she is a feminist. In 2010, she had received the Mark Twain Award for American Humor. In 2006, she was cast in 30 Rock.
Tina Fey has a striking scar on her left cheek. Talking about it, her husband Jeff had said:
“A stranger approached the young Fey and violently cut her cheek. She just thought somebody marked her with a pen,”
Tina was just 5 years old at that time and was in front of the yard of her Pennsylvania home.
Tina Fey’s relationships
Tina Fey met her current husband Jeff Richmond in Second City where he worked as a director. He is 10 years older to her.
Her first daughter Alice Zenobia Richmond was born on 10 September 2005 and her second daughter Penelope Athena Richmond was born on 10 August 2011. She had revealed in an interview that she was a virgin until the age of 24 years and her husband is the only person that she has been intimate with. The couple is happily married and resides in New York City.
