Elise Jordan’s marriage and the tragedy
Elise has an enormously successful career. Her married life was also going strong. She was married to Michael Hastings (born 28 January 1980). Michael Hastings was a famous American journalist, reporter, and writer. He has written for Rolling Stone and Buzzfeed.

However, the marriage was short-lived. Michael Hastings lost his precious life in a tragic car accident which took place on 18 June 2013 in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. It was a single vehicular crash.
Eyewitnesses and CCTV footage of the accident showed that the car driven by Michael Hastings was at high speed and had sparks and flames before it fishtailed and hit the palm tree on the side of the road. It was a high-impact collision and the engine was ejected 50-60 yards from the scene. His body was burnt beyond recognition and identity could be established only by means of fingerprints.
Foul play was suspected but it was later ruled out and the whole tragedy was attributed to an accident. Elise is now back at work and has not been into any new relationship after the death of her husband.
