Canadian actress Chandra West has left a mark in films and television. She started with the films on the silver screen but later on was more seen on the small screen.
Chandra West was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on 31 December 1970. She is the youngest of nine siblings. She was raised most of the time in Oakville, Ontario.
For three years, Chandra was at the Monterey Elementary school in Oak Bay, British Columbia. She did her high school from Oakville Trafalgar High School, Oakville, Ontario from 1984 to 1989.
Her biography states that she had an interest in the arts and has learned ballet dancing for 10 years. At the age of 17 years, Chandra went for a summer acting camp in Oxford, England. She also did Theater Performance Program at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

She had single episode appearances in a number of TV shows in the 1990s. She was in the lead in the 1994 film ‘Puppet Master 4’. She appeared in its sequels as well. She was also part of ‘No Contest’ film.
In the new millennium, Chandra got a recurring role in ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’. Her character was the rookie forensic officer Holly Gribbs. Though the series was popular, Chandra’s character did not gain much audience approval and was killed off soon. Her character in 2002 thriller movie ‘The Salton Sea’ experienced a similar fate.
She also landed a role in ‘The first $ 20 million is always the hardest’ but the film was a box-office failure. In the 2005 horror film ‘White Noise’, Chandra played the wife of Michael Keaton’s protagonist, but that role was also brief.
She was also cast in ‘Mister Sterling’, ‘NYPD Blue’, and ‘Canes (The Covenant)’. In 2007, she was cast in the comedy ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry’ and in the series ‘John from Cincinnati’.
She then did acting in a number of TV series such as 2010 ‘The Gates’. 2011 saw Chandra in the TV film ‘Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe’. In 2013, Chandra played a detective in the series ‘Played’. Likewise, she was Cynthia Walker in one episode of the series ‘Stalker’. Chandra portrayed Kerry Conforth in one episode of the series ‘Rosewood’ in 2015.
