Blake Ellender Brown was born August 25, 1987, in the neighborhood of Tarzana located in Los Angeles, California. Her parents, Elaine Lively and Ernie Lively, are no strangers to the entertainment biz. Elaine worked as an acting coach and talent manager. Ernie, Lively’s father, was actually an actor himself. He is known for his roles in the 1992 film Passenger 57, as well as Turner and Hooch and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, in which he actually played Blake Lively’s character’s (Bridget’s) father. Neat, huh? Blake Lively also has four siblings, none of whom shy from the entertainment business either. Lori Lively, Robyn Lively, and Jason Lively are all Blake’s half-siblings. Each has been involved in various movie genres through many years. Lori and Robyn are both actresses while their brother Jason is a director. Blake Lively’s acting debut was in a play titled Sandman, directed by her father. Lively then started going to auditions for her first movie role. This landed her the part in the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It was said that during her audition for the part of Bridget, she only handed them a photo without a resume since this would be her first job. Everyone thought she was joking until the audition was over. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a movie adaption of the book series.

Our blonde bombshell was cast in one of the leading roles: Serena Van Der Woodsen, teenager returning home from boarding school to face her friends and the lies and scandals that happened before she left, without any thought of what would be soon to come. During the surfing scenes though, professional surfer, Australian Isabella Nichols played Lively’s character Nancy. Blake stated her inspiration for filming The Shallows actually came from her husband Ryan Reynolds and his role in the film Buried. In Buried, Reynolds played a man who found himself buried alive in Iraq. Lively actually has a real-life fear of sharks, which was just another challenge for her during the filming of The Shallows. We’ll start with the film titled A Simple Favor. This movie is set to release this year in September. A Simple Favor will have Blake Lively starring alongside famous actress Anna Kendrick. A Simple Favor is about a mommy blogger whose best friend has suddenly vanished. As a writer/blogger myself, this sounds absolutely intriguing! I’ll definitely be checking it out. The Rhythm Section is a project still in the works. The set date for The Rhythm Section is yet to be announced but we do know it’ll be sometime next year in 2019. The basis behind the film is a woman seeking revenge on a man who set up a plane crash that killed her whole family. On IMDB, it has been said filming for The Rhythm Section has been put on hold until June 2018 so Lively can recover from an on-set injury.
