Beverley O’Connor is an Australian journalist and TV show anchor who is working for ABC News. She is the host of the program The World.

Beverley O’Connor has been working in both radio and TV for ABC. She joined ABC Victoria in 2008 as a weekend presenter. During the weekdays, it was Tamara Oudyn who was substituting Ian Henderson. She was later promoted to the position on a regular basis.

She then took over the presentation of the entertainment news on weekends on Seven Network Melbourne. She held this position in 2006 and had also served as one of the crew members of the Vega 91.5 FM Radio breakfast program. Her other colleagues there were Dave O’Neil, Shaun Micallef, and also Denis Scott. She was in charge of reading the traffic and news during the breakfast program and she continued to be on this role until mid-2007 when she resigned from the post. In 2017, she was caught off guard live on air. A pre-recorded interview was being aired and Beverley had relaxed back and was chatting with the crew. Suddenly someone in the control room made an error and cut back to the live studio shot of the group. Beverley was not aware and then suddenly she got a glimpse of the TV monitor and realization dawned on her that they have been put live.
