Amy Beth Schumer was born in 1981. She is a renowned American stand-up comedian, actress, writer and producer from New York. She plunged into comedy in the early 2000s before appearing as a contestant on the 5th season of the NBC reality competition series, ‘Last Comic Standing’ in 2007. Amy Schumer was born in 1981 in Manhattan, New York to parents, Sandra Jane and Gordon David Schumer. She later relocated with her mother to Long Island to attend high school. Amy has a younger sister, Kim Caramele who is a comedy producer and writer. She has a half-brother, Jason Stein who is a musician in Illinois. Amy Schumer was raised as a Jewish and had to deal with antisemitism as a child. Her father’s furniture company was quite successful in Manhattan and she was raised quite comfortably.
