Dove Cameron’s Birth, Real  Name, Parents, Family and Growing years

Dove Cameron was born as Chloe Celeste Hosterman on 15 January 1996 in Seattle, Washington D.C., the USA. Her parents are Philip Alan Hosterman and Bonnie Wallace. Her parents were divorced when Dove was little. She also has an elder sister named Claire Hosterman who is a voice trainer and a music teacher. She is of French descent.

She grew up in Bainbridge Island, Washington but had spent some time of her childhood in France. She was a student at the Sakai Intermediate School. When Dove was 14, her family shifted to Los Angeles, CA. She started learning music and acting at a young age and used to perform at the local theaters. She had faced bullying in her school but did not let it affect her. She continued to remain focused on her goals and strived to fulfill her dreams to become a successful actress in Hollywood.

Recalling those bygone days, Dove had once said:

“I became very passionate about [becoming an actress and singer]. I fully immersed myself”.

She lost her father in 2011 when she was just 15 years old.

Dove Cameron’s Career and Net Worth

When Dove as 8 years old, she used to perform at the community theater at Bainbridge Performing Arts. When her family moved to LA, she sang in the Burbank High School’s choir for the National Championship. In 2012, Dove got the role of Alanna in the Disney Channel Original series called Bits and Pieces.

After the pilot project, it was renamed as Liv and Maddie and Dove got to play the title role of Live and Maddie Rooney. The show gained prompt popularity and Dove became a household name.

Dove also loved music and on 27 August 2013, she released a cover of ‘On Top of the World’ as a promotional single. Her made its way to Billboard Kid Digital Song List and remained for 3 weeks on the chart. Her first no. 1 hit was Better in Stereo which was released under Walt Disney Records. Her next single ‘Count Me In’ also was on top of the Billboard Kid Digital Song chart.

In 2015, she portrayed the character of Liz Larson in her first non-Disney film called ‘Barely Lethal’. The same year, Dove bagged a role in Descendents. She also created more songs which figured in Billboard’s top music charts. She formed a band with Ryan McCartan and named it as ‘The Girl and the Dreamcatcher’. They released their first single in 2015 and their second, third and fourth singles in 2016.

The band’s first EP ‘Negatives’ also was released the same year. But in October 2016, the duo disbanded. She got rave reviews for her performance in ‘Hairspray Live! She was also featured in Hollywood Live production ‘Mamma Mia!’ and in ‘Dumplin’. Her single called ‘Talks about’ is due for release in 2018.

Dove Cameron’s Relationships

Dove Cameron had met and started dating actor-singer Ryan McCartan in 2013. They got engaged on 14 April 2014 but by October 2016, their engagement was called off. She then started dating her Descendents 2017 co-star Thomas Doherty and confirmed it in February 2017. In July 2017, she told Access Hollywood:

“We’re super in love and stuff,”
